After the great success of the first meetup back in November, I am really happy to announce that the second #geomob meetup is coming on January 29th. The theme/meme is going to be the connection between Location, Context, and Device.
If you missed the first one, you certainly did miss out but don't worry you can watch the videos here. We won't be straying from the formula which made the first one such a success: three great speakers, short presentations, lots of Q&As and plenty of social time.
Presenting this time around we have:
Russell Middleton & Matthew Trewhella of Google- New and lesser known Google geo features
Andrew Scott CEO of Rummble; - the location based recommendation engine
Alfie Dennen of Moblog - ‘The Internet of Places, or, How to Get a Man to Stand in a Field in Glasgow. At Midnight’
*Plus one extra special guest*
Terry Jones - Creator of FluidDB, the database with the heart of a wiki. Hyped by Tim O'Reilly and Robert Scoble no less! See more here.
Yahoo! have very kindly agreed to host us, and this time we have a really special venue at Wallacespace in Covent Garden:

So what more could you want? Great people, amazing speakers, awesome venue and FREE BEER!
Kick off around 6pm, see you there,
Chris.
